  • Malachi Flynn (ankle) — Out

  • Mitchell Robinson (ankle) — Injured

New York traded RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to Toronto in exchange for Anunoby, Achiuwa, and Flynn. It remains unclear if Anunoby and Achiuwa will make their Knicks debut, but their omission from the injury report is a good sign. If not, the team will be shorthanded against the Timberwolves, who have allowed 107.4 points per contest this season, the fewest of any team. New York will need to find an answer for Anthony Edwards, who scored a team-high 31 points in the previous outing and averaged 25.7 points per outing in December.

  • Luka Doncic (quad) — Available

  • Kyrie Irving (heel) — Available

  • Dante Exum (heel) — Available

  • Seth Curry (illness) — Available

  • Maxi Kleber (toe) — Injured

Irving has missed the previous 12 outings but has been upgraded to questionable for the first time since his initial injury occurred. The Mavs hope to have Irving, Doncic, and others available against the Jazz, but their presence might not be required to be competitive in this matchup, as Utah has the seventh-worse Net Rating (-5.6) league-wide. It's worth noting, however, that the Jazz have won seven of their last 10 outings, while the Mavs have won half of their games since Irving went down.

Utah Jazz News

Confirmed Lineup: Kris Dunn, Collin Sexton, Simone Fontecchio, Lauri Markkanen, John Collins

Miami Heat News

Confirmed Lineup: Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Jamal Cain, Bam Adebayo

  • Kyle Lowry (head) — Available

  • Josh Richardson (back) — Out

  • Haywood Highsmith (concussion) — Out

  • Caleb Martin (ankle) — Out

  • Jimmy Butler (foot) — Out

  • Dru Smith (knee) — Out for season

With Butler sidelined and Lowry uncertain to play, Herro will likely have the ball in his hands even more. He is averaging 25.6 points per contest in five games sans Butler this season. The Heat lose defensive prowess anytime Butler is ruled out, and they'll have to find a way to overcome that against the Clippers, who had the league's third-best Offensive Rating (122.6) in December.

Los Angeles Clippers News

Confirmed Lineup: James Harden, Terance Mann, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac

  • Kawhi Leonard (hip) — In

  • Mason Plumlee (knee) — Available

The Clippers played the last four games sans Leonard and won two of them. Without Leonard this season, Los Angeles averages fewer points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals per contest. Harden has seen a +5.7% usage rate increase when Leonard has been sidelined this year, and he'll likely be a key piece of the Clippers' game plan if Leonard is ruled out again. Los Angeles will face the Heat, who will be without Jimmy Butler and could also be missing Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin.
