Giddey has logged a 30.0% assist rate through five games of 2023, and Gilgeous-Alexander has recorded a 17.9% assist rate during his four matches in January. Gilgeous-Alexander (26.6%) registered a slightly higher assist rate than Giddey (25.9%) before the new year.

Confirmed Lineup: James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, PJ Tucker, Joel Embiid

The Thunder were aggressive to double Embiid and force the ball out of his hands, with Harden and Maxey sidelined for their matchup on New Year's Eve. Embiid shot six-for-17 but recorded 10 assists in Philadelphia's 115-96 win.

He averaged 10.2 points on 14.6% usage and a 62.8 eFG% usage in his first 36 matches.
