After Thursday's game, coach Popovich said that Vassell would likely be "out for a while." However, after an MRI showed a mild strain, Vassell is now considered day-to-day. In the last game without him, the Spurs started Branham, who shot eight-of-nine from the field and scored a season-high 16 points.
Confirmed Lineup: Tyrese Haliburton, Bruce Brown, Bennedict Mathurin, Obi Toppin, Myles Turner
Last game, Haliburton posted 43 points and 12 assists while shooting eight-of-12 from three-point range. He'll now match up with the Spurs, who give up 25.7 points per game to point guards, the third-most league-wide. In San Antonio's previous outing, Dennis Schroder scored 24 points, tying his season-high.

With Fultz sidelined for the last two outings, Banchero posted a 33.3% assist percentage. In games with Fultz available, Banchero has an average assist percentage of 23.1%. If Fultz sits again, Banchero will likely retain more of a playmaking role against the Mavs, who give up the sixth-most assists per game (27.8) and allowed 10 assists to two Hornets starters in their previous contest.
Confirmed Lineup: Tyus Jones, Jordan Poole, Deni Avdija, Kyle Kuzma, Daniel Gafford
Deni Avdija (ankle) — Available
Daniel Gafford (ankle) — Available
Corey Kispert (ankle) — Available
With a couple of starters uncertain to suit up, there could be more usage available for some of the other players, particularly Kuzma and Poole. Through five games, the two have posted respective team-high usage rates of 32.1% and 30.9%. Despite an increased role, Poole is averaging fewer points per game (17.6) than he did in each of the last two seasons while posting his worst field goal percentage (41.8%) since his rookie year.

Through six contests, Herro has posted career-highs in points (25.8), rebounds (5.7), and assists per game (5.0). His 45.3% field goal and 45.1% three-point percentage are also career-bests. Herro's numbers were down in the lone game he played without Butler this season. He will face a Lakers team that has allowed the 10th-fewest points per game (21.7) to shooting guards.
Confirmed Lineup: Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac
James Harden (reconditioning) — In
Terance Mann (ankle) — Injured
Brandon Boston Jr. (quad) — Injured
The Clippers will have James Harden available for the first time since acquiring him last Monday. Coach Lue said that when Harden and Westbrook are playing together, Westbrook will be expected to manage more ball-handling responsibilities, with Harden playing more off-ball. Lue also mentioned that Harden will probably have a minutes restriction as they don't want to play him "crazy minutes" right away.
Confirmed Lineup: Jalen Brunson, Quentin Grimes, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson
RJ Barrett (knee) — In
With Barrett sidelined, the Knicks have lost two straight. They scored 97.0 points per game in those contests compared to the 106.5 points they averaged in the first four outings with Barrett available. They'll hope to have him for this matchup against the Clippers, whose opponents have scored 109.2 points per game, the eighth-fewest league-wide.

Confirmed Lineup: Davion Mitchell, Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis
De'Aaron Fox (ankle) — Out
Trey Lyles (calf) — Out
As Fox remains sidelined, the Kings must get offensive production from some of their ancillary players. In the last two outings without Fox, they've scored 95.0 points per game, the fewest league-wide over that span. In games with Fox available, Sacramento has averaged 125.3 points per contest.

Oshae Brissett (thumb) — Available
Neemias Queta (foot) — Out
With White missing the last game, the Celtics started Al Horford and Porzingis in a double-big lineup. It was Horford's first start of the season, and he responded by posting a team-high plus-29 plus/minus over 30 minutes in a game that his team won by 10.
Confirmed Lineup: Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert
Jaylen Clark (Achilles) — Injured

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) — Available
Kenrich Williams (back) — Out
Gilgeous-Alexander hyperextended his knee two games ago but was able to finish the contest. He missed the last outing as the Thunder gave up 141 points in a loss. Wallace will likely draw another spot start like he did last game when he scored 13 points in a career-high 36 minutes. He should have opportunities, as the Hawks have given up the second-most points per game (25.2) to shooting guards.
Confirmed Lineup: Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones, Jordan Hawkins, Zion Williamson, Jonas Valanciunas
CJ McCollum (lung) — Injured
Jose Alvarado (ankle) — Injured
Trey Murphy (knee) — Injured
Naji Marshall (knee) — Injured
McCollum was diagnosed with small pneumothorax in his right lung. He had the same ailment in 2021 and was sidelined for 18 contests. According to the team, he'll be examined further within the next day to determine his progress and timeline. In his absence, more usage should funnel to Ingram, whose 26.6% usage rate is the lowest he's posted since the 2018-2019 season.
Confirmed Lineup: Reggie Jackson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic (wrist) — Available
Jamal Murray (hamstring) — Out
Vlatko Cancar (knee) — Injured
Murray exited the last contest and didn't return. With him sidelined, more usage should go to Jokic against the Pelicans, who allow the eighth-most points per game (24.5) to centers. Last season, Jokic averaged 27.7 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game in three contests against New Orleans.
