New Orleans Pelicans News

Confirmed Lineup: CJ McCollum, Dyson Daniels, Herb Jones, Brandon Ingram, Jonas Valanciunas

  • Zion Williamson (ankle) — Out

  • Matt Ryan (elbow) — Injured

  • Larry Nance Jr. (rib) — Injured

Williamson played in the previous outing and scored a season-high 36 points while shooting 13-for-17 from the field. He landed on Jaden McDaniels' right foot late and stayed in the game, but the injury has put his status for Wednesday's outing in question. The Pelicans' other stars will likely garner more usage if he is ruled out. CJ McCollum (+4.88%), Brandon Ingram (+4.19%), and Jonas Valanciunas (+2.99%) have all seen increased usage rates with Williamson off the court this season. Trey Murphy III has averaged 24.5 minutes in his four games this season and could be in line for a larger role.

Washington Wizards News

Confirmed Lineup: Tyus Jones, Jordan Poole, Deni Avdija, Kyle Kuzma, Daniel Gafford

  • Daniel Gafford (hip) — In

  • Landry Shamet (rib) — Out

  • Eugene Omoruyi (concussion) — Out

  • Johnny Davis (calf) — Injured

  • Delon Wright (knee) — Injured

  • Ryan Rollins (knee) — Injured

In the previous game sans Gafford, the Wizards started Mike Muscala at center, who finished with no points in 20 minutes of action. They faced the 76ers in that outing, and Joel Embiid scored 34 points on 14-of-20 from the field, and Philadelphia won by 45 points. Washington struggles when Gafford is sidelined, as they've lost all three of the games he's missed. Now, they'll face the Pelicans and Jonas Valanciunas, who's averaging 16.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in December.

  • De'Andre Hunter (knee) — Out

  • AJ Griffin (personal) — Out

  • Jalen Johnson (wrist) — Injured

  • Mouhamed Gueye (back) — Injured

  • Kobe Bufkin (thumb) — Injured

The Hawks were without Hunter last game, and his status for Wednesday's outing remains unfinalized. Garrison Mathews started for Hunter in the previous contest but only played 17 minutes, so it's unclear if the Hawks would go back to Mathews if Hunter is ruled out again. Bogdan Bogdanovic played 36 minutes off the bench in that last outing, and he could retain an increased minutes ceiling if Hunter sits. Young is expected to be available, and he'd have a tough matchup against a Raptors team that allows the second-fewest points per game (20.6) to point guards.

Toronto Raptors News

  • LeBron James (calf) — Out

  • Anthony Davis (adductor, hip) — In

  • Jarred Vanderbilt (back) — Available

  • Jalen Hood-Schifino (back) — Out

  • Gabe Vincent (knee) — Injured

James and Davis played in the first leg of a back-to-back set on Tuesday, but they could miss the second leg. Vanderbilt was sidelined for the first time since making his season debut three games prior. Coach Ham said the team will re-evaluate the statuses of the three players heading into Wednesday's contest. The Lakers will play their fifth game in nine nights after advancing to the IST championship, and James has played 14 straight games since missing his only game this season.

  • Grayson Allen (groin) — Out

  • Eric Gordon (calf) — Out

  • Josh Okogie (hip) — Out

  • Nassir Little (concussion protocol) — Available

  • Damion Lee (knee) — Injured

The Suns played without Durant but with Booker and Beal in the first leg of a back-to-back set. They won that contest as Booker scored a game-high 32 points, and Beal added 16 points in his first appearance in a month. There's a chance that the "big three" will debut in the second leg of the back-to-back on Wednesday. The Suns have not yet decided whether Beal will play, as they'll wait to see how he feels following Tuesday's contest before a decision is made. Vogel said the plan is for Beal to play, though.

New York Knicks News

Confirmed Lineup: Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Jericho Sims

  • Immanuel Quickley (knee) — Available

  • Mitchell Robinson (ankle) — Injured

Utah Jazz News

Confirmed Lineup: Keyonte George, Collin Sexton, Simone Fontecchio, Lauri Markkanen, Kelly Olynyk

  • John Collins (illness) — Out

  • Lauri Markkanen (hamstring) — Available

  • Walker Kessler (foot) — Available

  • Jordan Clarkson (thigh) — Injured

Clarkson will miss at least two weeks after an MRI revealed a strained right bicep femoris. He sustained a right thigh contusion in an outing in late November, but following Monday's game, Clarkson was experiencing hamstring discomfort, which led to the Jazz conducting the MRI. In his absence, more playing time should be available for Kris Dunn and Ochai Agbaji. Dunn averages 10.8 minutes per game with Clarkson available. When Clarkson sits, Dunn plays 18.3 minutes per contest and sees a +3.3% usage rate increase.
