Boston Celtics News

Confirmed Lineup: Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis

  • Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) — In

  • Luke Kornet (adductor) — Available

  • Lamar Stevens (illness) — Out

  • Svi Mykhailiuk (heel) — Out

What's notable from the Celtics' injury report is that Tatum isn't on it after tweaking his ankle during Saturday's win. Al Horford would draw another start at center if Porzingis remains sidelined, and it'll be interesting to see whether coach Mazzulla goes with Kornet or Neemias Queta as his primary backup in that scenario. White leads all players with a +3.6% usage rate differential this season with Porzingis off the court.

Los Angeles Lakers News

Confirmed Lineup: LeBron James, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, Jarred Vanderbilt, Anthony Davis

  • LeBron James (ankle) — Available

  • Anthony Davis (ankle) — Available

  • Cam Reddish (groin) — In

  • Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) — Available

  • Rui Hachimura (wrist) — Available

  • Gabe Vincent (knee) — Injured

The Lakers continue to procedurally list James and Davis as questionable even when they're not at real risk of sitting out, and it would be shocking to see either not suit up for Christmas Day. Reddish's addition is notable as he hasn't been on the injury report for over a week. D'Angelo Russell could be reinserted back into the starting lineup if Reddish has to miss time with Austin Reaves and Prince playing big minutes. Coach Ham decided to bench Russell in favor of Vanderbilt on Saturday with Russell mired in an extended shooting slump. Ham will rely on the unit's defensive upside and versatility to cover the absence of floor spacing.

Philadelphia 76ers News

Confirmed Lineup: Tyrese Maxey, De'Anthony Melton, Kelly Oubre, Tobias Harris, Paul Reed

  • Robert Covington (knee) — Available

  • Mo Bamba (illness) — Available

  • Joel Embiid (ankle) — Out

  • De'Anthony Melton (thigh) — Not on injury report

  • Patrick Beverley (heel) — Not on injury report

  • Nicolas Batum (hamstring) — Out

Embiid suffered an ankle sprain during Friday's win and managed to play through it, so it came as a surprise to see the Sixers straight rule him out for Christmas Day. The team added that he didn't even make the trip to Miami. Morris started all three games that Embiid missed this season (one at PF) and should be the odds-on favorite to start here with Paul Reed as the primary backup. Maxey leads the team this season with both a 35% usage rate and a +8% usage rate differential when Embiid is off the court. Maxey, Oubre, and Harris will command the majority of the usage in Embiid's absence.

Miami Heat News

Confirmed Lineup: Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Caleb Martin, Bam Adebayo

  • Jimmy Butler (calf) — Out

  • Josh Richardson (back) — Out

  • Haywood Highsmith (illness) — Out

  • Dru Smith (knee) — Out for season

Dallas Mavericks News

Confirmed Lineup: Luka Doncic, Dante Exum, Tim Hardaway Jr., Derrick Jones Jr., Dereck Lively II

  • Dereck Lively II (ankle) — Available

  • Kyrie Irving (heel) — Injured

  • Josh Green (elbow) — Injured

  • Maxi Kleber (toe) — Injured

Lively II was upgraded to questionable which came as a bit of a surprise as there hadn't necessarily been signals that a Christmas Day return was in the cards. His presence would be a massive boost for the Mavs as they're 16-7 this season when he plays and 1-5 when he's out. Coach Kidd opted for a smaller lineup with Williams at center in Saturday's win, but Lively II would slot right back into the starting unit if cleared to play with Tim Hardaway Jr. likely returning to his usual reserve role. Kidd said recently that Exum will remain in the starting lineup even when Irving is cleared to play.

  • Josh Okogie (hip) — Available

  • Yuta Watanabe (finger) — Available

  • Jusuf Nurkic (personal) — Out

  • Bradley Beal (ankle) — Injured

  • Damion Lee (knee) — Injured
