Embiid has not officially been confirmed to have suffered a torn meniscus but will remain sidelined this weekend while a treatment plan is finalized. Paul Reed has started each of the last 10 games with Embiid absent. Tyrese Maxey took control of the offense in Thursday's win and erupted for a career-high 51 points. He'll continue to benefit from extra usage as long as Embiid is out.

White is dealing with a sore ankle and could miss his first game of the season. His workload has been extremely heavy as of late. He averaged 38.3 minutes per game in the month of January, which ranks fourth in the league in that span. White scored a game-high 35 points in 43 minutes in the previous outing, and it's unclear when he suffered the injury. DeMar DeRozan could see an increased offensive role if White is out, with Jevon Carter a candidate to enter the starting lineup.

The Lakers pulled off a shocking upset over the Celtics on Thursday with James and Davis sidelined. Six different players scored double-digit points with Austin Reaves totaling a season-high 32 points. He has now scored 60 points over his last two games. D'Angelo Russell took 20 field goal attempts and both players would continue to be a focal point if James and Davis are out. If healthy, James will draw a tough matchup against a Knicks team that ranks second in the league in Defensive Rating over the last 10 games.
