The Bucks can finish as the second, third, or fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. They are currently the number two team in the East, and coach Rivers doesn't seem too concerned with where they ultimately finish in the standings. "The good news is, no matter what, we'll be at home for Game 1," Rivers said. Middleton was also nonchalant when asked about playoff seeding and potential opponents. "You're going to play somebody good in the playoffs no matter what," Middleton stated. "There is no easy path. We learned that in the past." Antetokoumpo will be sidelined again as he remains without a specific timeline for a return. Milwaukee has gone 4-4 this season without him.

With just one game remaining, the 76ers are still fighting to avoid the Play-In tournament. However, a win from them doesn't guarantee anything, as they'll also need help from other teams around the Eastern Conference. Embiid is uncertain to play after tweaking his previously injured knee in Friday's contest. He returned and started the second half of that last outing, and coach Nurse said the injury responded well at Saturday's practice. If Embiid were to be ruled out, Philadelphia would need their other key players, particularly Maxey, to step up on both ends of the floor against the Nets. The 76ers have gone 31-8 with Embiid available this season, but just 15-27 when he's been sidelined.

The Nuggets are currently the third seed in the Western Conference but still have a chance at moving up to first or second in the standings with losses from the Thunder, Wolves, or both. If Denver, Oklahoma City, and Minnesota all win, the Thunder would secure the one seed, while the Nuggets would be locked into the third spot. Because the opportunity to gain ground does exist, it's a bit puzzling that all five Denver starters (and their top bench player) landed on the injury report. It doesn't seem like a spot where coach Malone would rest his core guys, but if he thinks the most likely outcome is his team finishing as the three seed, he may believe they can benefit from a game off as the postseason approaches.

The Kings can secure the eighth seed in the Western Conference if they win, and the Lakers lose to the Pelicans. If Sacramento loses, they could finish as the ninth or 10th seed. Luckily, they're facing a Blazers team that is both injured and playing for nothing. Portland has gone 2-8 in its last 10 contests, losing by an average of 12.8 points per game. However, the Kings haven't looked great recently either, as they've lost five of their seven games this month.
