Dallas Mavericks News

Confirmed Lineup: Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Derrick Jones Jr., PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford

  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) — Out

  • Maxi Kleber (shoulder) — Injured

Although Dallas won Game 1 on the road, the splits between starter Daniel Gafford and reserve Dereck Lively II continue to be eye-opening. After Lively II led the Mavs in plus-minus during the Conference Semifinals at +71, with Gafford a team-worse -58, Lively outpaced Gafford in that stat by a +19 to -15 count in Game 1. The two continue to roughly split minutes at center, although Lively has slowly worked his way to a workload edge despite coming off the bench, averaging 26.3 minutes per game over Dallas' last five compared to 21.3 for Gafford.

Minnesota Timberwolves News

Confirmed Lineup: Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert

McDaniels' shooting emergence has been one of the biggest developments for the Timberwolves. He led Minnesota in scoring during Game 1 with 24 points on 15 shots, including a 6-9 mark from three. After starting the postseason 5-of-23 from beyond the arc (21.7%), he's made 12 of his last 18 (66.7%).
