Dallas Mavericks News

Confirmed Lineup: Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Derrick Jones Jr., PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford

  • Dereck Lively II (neck) — Available

  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) — Out

Doncic notched his sixth triple-double of the 2024 playoffs with a 28-point, 15-rebound, 10-assist performance in Game 4. He tied Magic Johnson (1982) and Draymond Green (2019) for third place on the all-time list of most triple-doubles in a single postseason. Nikola Jokic has the record with 10 in last year's title run, and Doncic is now one away from tying Wilt Chamberlain in 1967 for second place on that list.

Meanwhile, Kleber returned from an extended absence off the bench to play 13 minutes in Game 4 and is not listed on the injury report for Game 5. His return and continued ramp-up could be huge for a Dallas team that may not have Lively II for a second straight game.

Minnesota Timberwolves News

Confirmed Lineup: Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert

The Wolves got one step closer to doing the impossible with a Game 4 victory in Dallas to stay alive. There have been 156 best-of-seven series in NBA history to begin with one team earning a 3-0 lead. The previous 155, including the Celtics' sweep of the Pacers earlier this week, have all been won by the team getting out to the 3-0 lead. Only four times has the trailing team even forced a Game 7, but of course, the last such occurrence of that happened just last year, when the Celtics nearly pulled off the comeback against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
