It's been almost a full week off for the Liberty, who haven't played since Sunday, June 9 vs. Washington, a contest that saw them win their seventh straight game. They swept their five Commissioner's Cup games in the process and will host the Lynx in the final of the WNBA's in-season tournament on Tuesday, June 25.
The Liberty are looking to repeat at Commissioner's Cup champions after winning the competition in 2023, where they defeated Saturday's opponent, the Aces, in the final. Of course, Saturday's game is also a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals, where the Aces got revenge over the Liberty by earning their second straight league championship with a 3-1 series win.
Confirmed Lineup: Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Alysha Clark, A'ja Wilson, Kiah Stokes
Chelsea Gray (leg) — Active
Kierstan Bell (leg) — Injured
The Gray saga continues, as she has a questionable tag once again headed into this showcase clash against the Liberty. Gray was made active for the first time all season on Thursday night, but was not available in actuality as she did not check into the game. After the game, coach Hammon said that Gray's return was "around the corner." The star point guard wasn't needed in Thursday's win over the Mercury, as Young scored a career-high 34 points while going 7-13 from three-point range. She had 21 points in the second quarter alone.
