Dallas Wings News

Confirmed Lineup: Sevgi Uzun, Maddy Siegrist, Stephanie Soares, Monique Billings, Teaira McCowan

  • Arike Ogunbowale (Achilles) — Out

  • Satou Sabally (shoulder) — Injured

  • Natasha Howard (foot) — Injured

  • Jaelyn Brown (illness) — Injured

Hampered by injuries to key players in Sabally, Howard, and Brown, the Wings have lost seven games in a row and are now 3-9 on the season, ahead of only the Mystics in the standings. It's been a difficult start to the campaign for a team that was in the semifinals a season ago. The Wings will also now face Minnesota without Ogunbowale, who was ruled out mid-day with a sore Achilles. She's considered day-to-day and will be tough to replace; she continues to rank only behind A'ja Wilson in scoring at 24.9 points per game through 12 outings. Her previous career-best was the 22.8 points she averaged in 2020.

Minnesota Lynx News

Confirmed Lineup: Courtney Williams, Kayla McBride, Dorka Juhasz, Napheesa Collier, Alanna Smith

  • Bridget Carleton (elbow) — Out

  • Natisha Hiedeman (ankle) — Available

  • Diamond Miller (knee) — Injured

Collier had a highlight performance in Minnesota's last outing, scoring 30 points while adding six rebounds in a five-point win over the Sparks on Friday. However, it was her defensive effort that nearly made league history, as she totaled eight steals in the win, two shy of the record of 10. It was the first eight-steal game in the WNBA since Sancho Lyttle did it in 2016. It was also just the third 30-point, eight-steal game of all-time, joining Cynthia Cooper-Dyke in 1997 and Chamique Holdsclaw in 2000 as the only three players to ever achieve that feat.
