Howard has been ruled out for this game due to a left lower leg injury. By all accounts, the injury is to her left ankle, which she rolled during Wednesday's game at Minnesota. She was helped to the locker room and did not return to the contest. The team said after the game that she would be evaluated further. There's no word yet on the exact nature of her injury or if she will miss any additional time beyond this game vs. the Fever. Powers is a candidate to move into the starting lineup in Howard's place, but coach Wright could also slide Coffey to the three and re-insert Parker-Tyus into the first five. Crystal Dangerfield could also see an uptick in minutes.
Confirmed Lineup: Tyasha Harris, DiJonai Carrington, Dewanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones
Moriah Jefferson (ankle) — Out
At 13-1, the Sun have already set a franchise record best start to a season through 14 games. With a win over the Aces, Connecticut will tie the record for best 15-game start in WNBA history. The 1998 Comets, 2016 Sparks, and 2023 Aces all began their campaigns 14-1. All three of those clubs also went on to win the championship in their respective seasons.
Confirmed Lineup: Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Tiffany Hayes, A'ja Wilson, Kiah Stokes
Kierstan Bell (leg) — Injured
Chelsea Gray made her season debut on Wednesday, playing 16 minutes off the bench while recording seven assists, four rebounds, and two blocks. The Aces defeated the Storm by a 94-83 final to right the ship after losing five of their previous seven games. After this contest against the league-leading Sun, Las Vegas won't play again until next Thursday, June 27.
