Despite entering the previous game with a doubtful tag, Howard played 20 minutes off the bench, recording 13 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Coach Trammell hasn't recently mentioned anything specific about Howard's health or conditioning, so it's unclear if she's facing any hard restrictions or when she'll re-enter the starting lineup.
The Wings have lost nine consecutive contests but should be able to compete with the Mystics, who are also battling injuries and have won just two of their 15 outings this season.

Coach Thibault mentioned that Edwards' back was "real tight" after being hit at some point during the previous contest. She didn't finish that game and couldn't fully practice on Friday. Edwards has been starting for Austin, who remains sidelined but participated in Friday's practice.
Regarding Austin's health, Thibault noted that the team wants her to feel comfortable in her on-court movements before returning. The Mystics will face a beatable opponent in the Wings, whose -12.8 Net Rating is the worst of any team this month.

Vandersloot has missed six consecutive games, but the Liberty have maintained their solid play, going 5-1 during that stretch. Their 107.5 Offensive Rating this season is the league's best and has jumped to 108.2 over the last six outings.
New York will host the Sparks, who are currently attempting to reshape their rotations after losing Cameron Brink (knee) for the season. These two teams met last game and the Liberty pulled out a 13-point victory, led by Ionescu's 31 points and nine assists. Ionescu has seen a +3.4% assist percentage differential since Vandersloot's been sidelined.
