Phoenix Mercury News

Confirmed Lineup: Natasha Cloud, Diana Taurasi, Kahleah Copper, Sophie Cunningham, Brittney Griner

  • Celeste Taylor (signed) — TBD

  • Rebecca Allen (hamstring) — Injured

  • Charisma Osborne (leg) — Injured

Taurasi scored a season-low three points against Atlanta in the previous contest. The Mercury will now face the Dream for the second time in three days, and they'll likely need Taurasi to play better if they want to compete. Regardless, defeating Atlanta will be no easy task, as the Dream have won all three of their games since the regular season resumed and have the league's second-best Defensive Rating (90.3) over that span.

Connecticut Sun News

Confirmed Lineup: Tyasha Harris, DiJonai Carrington, DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones

  • Tiffany Mitchell (illness) — TBD

Bonner began the previous outing on the bench as the Sun elected to start Harris, Carrington, and Mabrey alongside Thomas and Jones. However, coach White replaced Mabrey with Bonner to start the second half. After the contest, White noted that Bonner was the one to offer the suggestion.

"She understands that there's emotion involved when it comes to starting or not, and so came to us," White said. "That's leadership, right? That's sacrifice. That's putting the team above everything else."

White hasn't announced which player will be left out of the first unit versus Chicago, who Mabrey played for before Connecticut traded for her.

Los Angeles Sparks News

  • Layshia Clarendon — TBD

  • Lexie Brown (illness) — Out

  • Aari McDonald (foot) — Injured

  • Cameron Brink (knee) — Out for season

The Sparks signed Stevens and Talbot to one-year contract extensions on Thursday, solidifying part of their core through next season. Talbot started ahead of Kia Nurse in the previous outing but was held scoreless in 19 minutes. Los Angeles has lost five consecutive games and their -9.1 Net Rating is the league's second-worst. They're set to face the Mystics, who have also lost five straight contests and have a -6.5 Net Rating, the third-lowest league-wide.

Las Vegas Aces News

Confirmed Lineup: Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Alysha Clark, A'ja Wilson

Minnesota Lynx News

Confirmed Lineup: Courtney Williams, Kayla McBride, Bridget Carleton, Napheesa Collier, Alanna Smith

While she doesn't get as much publicity as other stars, Collier has been one of the league's best players this season. She's averaging 20.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game, and Minnesota has the best record in the Western Conference. The Lynx will be tested against the Aces, who they beat in their most recent contest. Collier recorded a team-high 23 points in that 11-point win.
