With five games left in their regular season, Minnesota has a 26-9 record and technically remains in play for the one-seed. However, it would likely take a drastic collapse from the Liberty for the Lynx to climb the standings. They'll instead need to primarily focus on holding off the Sun, who is one game behind them as the league's three-seed. Minnesota will face Atlanta, whom they've beaten in all three meetings this season by an average of 11.0 points per contest.
Confirmed Lineup: Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Naz Hillmon, Tina Charles
Aerial Powers (calf) — Injured
Cheyenne Parker-Tyus (ankle) — Injured
Confirmed Lineup: Courtney Vandersloot, Sabrina Ionescu, Betnijah Laney-Hamilton, Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones
Betnijah Laney-Hamilton (knee) — Available
Laney-Hamilton went down in the previous outing after colliding with her teammate, Jones, in the fourth quarter. She was in obvious pain and was helped off the floor shortly before being ruled out for the remainder of the game. The knee she injured is the same one she had a procedure on earlier this season.
Despite the initial scare, the Liberty announced that Laney-Hamilton avoided significant injury, and she's since been listed as questionable for the game against the Wings. Coach Brondello has a noted history of protecting her players, so regardless of Laney-Hamilton's final status, Fiebich or Kayla Thornton could be in line to join the first unit.
Confirmed Lineup: Jacy Sheldon, Arike Ogunbowale, Satou Sabally, Natasha Howard, Teaira McCowan
Stephanie Soares (knee) — Out
Dallas was officially eliminated from postseason contention with its most recent loss. After reaching last year's semi-finals, the Wings have had an injury-riddled season that's led to consistent disappointment. While they've gotten healthier recently, they've continued to play poorly, losing all four games this month while posting the league's worst Defensive Rating (114.7). It won't get easier as the Wings face the Liberty, who have won eight of 10 games since the Olympic break concluded.
Confirmed Lineup: Tyasha Harris, DiJonai Carrington, DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones
Tiffany Mitchell (illness) — Out
Confirmed Lineup: Odyssey Sims, Rae Burrell, Rickea Jackson, Dearica Hamby, Azura Stevens
Aari McDonald (ankle) — Questionable
Layshia Clarendon — Out
Lexie Brown (illness) — Out
Cameron Brink (knee) — Out for season
