Week 12 Fantasy Football Recap Notes

Week 13 RB Rankings

  1. Alvin Kamara

    • He's the RB10 on RB4 usage this month. Kamara should be fresh off the bye.

    • The Saints OL is healthier now.

  2. Joe Mixon

    • The Jaguars have allowed the 2nd-most fantasy points to RBs. Over their last 4 games, they've given up 158.5 rushing yards per game.

  3. Saquon Barkley

  4. Jahmyr Gibbs

    • The Lions are projected for the most points, and David Montgomery is playing through an injury. Gibbs had a season-high 18.9 expected half PPR points last week with Monty setting a season low (9.2).

  5. Derrick Henry

    • The Ravens are tied for the 3rd-most points.

  6. De'Von Achane - 89.5 total yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the RB7 on RB10 usage this month with Tua healthy.

  7. Bijan Robinson

    • He's the RB6 on RB11 usage this month. Bijan should be fresh off the bye.

    • The Chargers are 5th-best against fantasy RBs, thought they've just been dodging touchdowns for the most part. The Ravens got 'em on Monday Night Football.

  8. Josh Jacobs - 93.5 total yards in Pick'em.

    • The Packers project for the 6th-most points.

    • The Packers are 4th in RB usage this month, and Jacobs is the RB2 on RB8 usage over that span. The Packers are one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL during neutral situations. That's because Jacobs is really good.

  9. Kyren Williams

    • He's the RB26 on RB21 usage this month with the WRs healthy.

    • The Rams project for the 7th-most points.

  10. Chase Brown

    • He's the RB3 on RB1 overall usage this month without Zack Moss. Khalil Herbert might be a little more involved coming out of the bye, but Brown has done a fine-enough job as the bellcow.

  11. Chuba Hubbard

    • He's the RB4 on RB2 overall usage this month and handled 89% of the snaps with Jonathon Brooks active.

  12. Christian McCaffrey

    • The Bills have allowed the most RB receptions, pushing them up to 4th-worst against fantasy RBs on the season. That plays into CMC's strengths, but he's the RB23 on RB15 usage this month, showing less dynamic-ness than his prime.

    • The injury-depleted 49ers only project for 19.0 points (4th-fewest). Keep an eye out for LT Trent Williams' status.

  13. Breece Hall (Questionable)

    • He got in a full practice on Friday and should be good to go.

    • He's the RB11 on RB22 usage this month.

  14. Bucky Irving

    • The Bucs are tied for the 4th-most points.

    • This is an eruption spot against the Panthers, who've allowed the most fantasy points and touchdowns to RBs this season.

  15. Kenneth Walker

    • He's the RB20 on RB16 usage this month.

  16. James Cook

    • He's the RB14 on RB9 usage this month.

    • The Bills project for the 5th-most points.

  17. Jonathan Taylor

    • He's the RB35 on RB17 usage this month.

  18. Tony Pollard

    • He's the RB19 on RB13 usage, but his splits without Tyjae Spears (concussion) are staggering. Without him, Pollard is averaging 14.5 half PPR points on 17.1 expected points. That's 11.5 on 12.1 with him.

  19. Aaron Jones

    • He's the RB22 on RB7 usage this month, including Week 12's RB1 overall usage. It's been a wild ride.

  20. James Conner

    • He's the RB16 on RB18 usage this month.

    • The Vikings don't allow many rush attempts because of their scheme (league-low 183). They're 3rd-best against fantasy RBs.

  21. David Montgomery (Questionable)

    • The Lions are projected for the most points.

  22. Rico Dowdle

    • He's the RB27 on RB23 usage this month.

    • The Giants have allowed the 6th-most fantasy points to RBs, despite having 3 stud defensive linemen. I don't understand why it's this bad.

  23. Brian Robinson

    • He has a low ankle sprain but is not on the final injury report. Austin Ekeler has a concussion and was placed on IR. Expect Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez to pitch in this week.

    • The Commanders project for the 8th-most points.

  24. Isiah Pacheco (Questionable)

    • The Chiefs are projected for the 2nd-most points.

    • The Chiefs' lead back is averaging 18.3 expected half PPR points and a healthy Pacheco has much-better odds of explosive plays than what Kareem Hunt has shown. It just comes down to split share. This ranking anticipates a 60/40 split in the return.

  25. Rhamondre Stevenson

    • He's the RB29 on RB14 usage this month.

    • The Colts have allowed the 5th-most fantasy points to RBs on a league-high 322 carries. The next closest defense is at 302.

  26. Najee Harris

    • He's the RB30 on RB12 usage this month with Jaylen Warren playing a bit more often in recent games since struggling early with an injury.

  27. Kareem Hunt

    • See RB21 Isiah Pacheco.

  28. Tyrone Tracy

    • The Giants are projected for the 2nd-fewest points, but the Cowboys have allowed the 3rd-most fantasy points to RBs.

    • His recent fumbles make his workload more suspect. He's at least been the RB24 on RB24 usage this month.

  29. Rachaad White

    • There is still enough room for both RBs to get home, especially against the Panthers and especially if the Sean Tucker fumble sends him back to the dog house.

  30. D'Andre Swift

    • He's the RB28 on RB30 usage this month, and new OC Thomas Brown has been using Roschon Johnson as the goal-line back and using their RBs less in general.

    • The Lions have allowed the 2nd-fewest fantasy points to RBs.

  31. Jaylen Warren

    • He's the RB25 on RB31 usage this month.

  32. Travis Etienne

    • I think Trevor Lawrence plays, but Tank Bigsby was a full participant all week. This is a backfield up for grabs.

  33. Gus Edwards

    • J.K. Dobbins (knee) is out for 4+ weeks, but Edwards has been so unimpressive that Hassan Haskins can still be in the mix at the goal line and often-inactive rookie Kimani Vidal can immediately enter the fold on passing downs (or more). This will be a committee at best.

  34. Nick Chubb

    • He's the RB32 on RB25 usage this month. He's severely TD-or-bust.

    • The Browns are 3rd-lowest in projected points.

  35. Javonte Williams

    • He's the RB36 on RB33 usage this month, including the odd Audric Estime lead back game.

  36. Ameer Abdullah

    • We'll see if Zamir White (DNP x2) or Alexander Mattison (limited x2)return. Without them, Abdullah saw a season-high 14.2 expected half PPR points.

    • The Raiders are projected for the fewest points, and the Chiefs have allowed the fewest fantasy points to RBs this year.

  37. Roschon Johnson

  38. Tank Bigsby

  39. Kimani Vidal

  40. Tyler Allgeier

Week 13 WR Rankings

  1. A.J. Brown - 92.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Ravens are the worst against fantasy WRs. This is an eruption spot.

  2. Nico Collins - 80.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Jaguars are the 3rd-worst against fantasy WRs. This is an eruption spot.

  3. Ja'Marr Chase - 74.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Bengals are projected for the 8th-most points, but the Steelers are 5th-best fantasy WRs.

  4. Justin Jefferson - 84.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    1. This is an eruption spot against a generally bad Cardinals secondary.

  5. Puka Nacua - 78.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR5 on WR3 overall usage this month.

    • The Rams are projected for the 5th-most points.

    • The Saints are 8th-worst against fantasy WRs.

  6. Amon-Ra St. Brown - 69.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Lions are projected for the most points, even though the Bears LB and CB groups are really strong.

  7. Cooper Kupp - 65.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's been the WR6 on WR8 usage this month.

    • The Rams are projected for the 5th-most points.

    • The Saints are 8th-worst against fantasy WRs.

  8. George Pickens - 74.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR17 on WR15 usage this month, despite a bunch of nonsense.

    • The Steelers are projected for 22.5 points against a brutal Bengals defense. This is an eruption spot.

  9. Tee Higgins - 69.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Bengals are projected for the 8th-most points.

    • The Steelers are 5th-best fantasy WRs.

  10. Mike Evans - 61.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Bucs are projected for the 4th-most points. This is an eruption spot.

  11. CeeDee Lamb - 67.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR30 on WR4 overall usage this month, but at least Cooper Rush is getting him the damn ball. Jake Ferguson (concussion) is out still.

  12. Malik Nabers - 66.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR39 on WR11 usage this month, but we have a squeaky wheel narrative and QB change to hopefully spark his production. The Giants are projected for the 2nd-fewest points, however.

  13. Garrett Wilson - 65.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR22 on WR29 usage this month, but no Breece Hall should help a tiny bit.

  14. Drake London - 65.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR27 on WR12 usage this month.

    • Chargers CB1 Kristian Fulton has been among the best.

  15. Calvin Ridley - 64.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR14 on WR27 usage this month.

    • The Titans are projected for the 5th-fewest points.

  16. Ladd McConkey - 64.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Chargers are projected for the 9th-most points.

    • The Falcons are the 4th-worst against fantasy WRs. This is an eruption spot.

  17. Courtland Sutton - 64.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • We have a nasty matchup with Denzel Ward.

    • The Broncos are now 3rd in WR usage this month, and Sutton is the WR7 on WR6 usage. He wont Steve Smith's Route of the Week.

  18. Brian Thomas

    • I think Trevor Lawrence plays and is fine (non-throwing shoulder). Now Thomas competes for targets with two career non-earners in Devin Duvernay and Parker Washington. Thomas' elite skill set should be really productive down the stretch if T-Law is alright.

    • The Texans are the 5th-worst against fantasy WRs, thanks to a league-high 17 touchdowns allowed. Star FS Jalen Pitre (pec) is doutful and Will Anderson (DNP) is questionable.

  19. DK Metcalf - 64.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Jets are the 2nd-best against fantasy WRs, even though Sauce Gardner hasn't been as good this year.

  20. Zay Flowers - 58.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR15 on WR31 usage this month.

    • The Ravens are projected for the 3rd-most points.

  21. Jaxon Smith-Njigba - 52.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR3 on WR10 usage this month.

    • The Jets are the 2nd-best against fantasy WRs, even though Sauce Gardner hasn't been as good this year.

  22. Davante Adams - 60.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR24 on WR5 usage this month.

  23. Terry McLaurin - 60.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Commanders are projected for the 10th-most points.

    • Titans CB L'Jarius Sneed is on IR.

  24. DJ Moore - 55.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The screens keep coming in with OC Thomas Brown.

    • The Bears are projected for the 6th-fewest points.

    • The Lions are the 6th-worst against fantasy WRs.

  25. Tyreek Hill - 63.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR26 on WR26 usage this month with Tua using the check-down game more often.

    • He's still limited-DNP in practice with his wrist injury, and I'm sure that feels super super good in 20-degree weather.

    • Packers CB1 Jaire Alexander (IR) is out.

  26. Keenan Allen

    • He's the WR36 on WR13 usage this month.

    • The Bears are projected for the 6th-fewest points, but the Lions are the 6th-worst against fantasy WRs.

  27. Jakobi Meyers - 53.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's been the WR16 on WR9 usage this month, but the Raiders are projected for the fewest points without Gardner Minshew. If it's Desmond Ridder, we're in trouble.

  28. Jerry Jeudy - 54.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • This assumes Cedric Tillman (concussion) can't play.

    • He's the WR8 on WR16 usage this month with Yolo Jameis. He just might see some Pat Surtain in a revenge game.

    • The Browns are projected for the 3rd-fewest points.

  29. Tank Dell - 52.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR35 on WR30 usage this month. King Collins is back, but Dell at least won on a play-action post route last week.

    • The Jaguars are the 3rd-worst against fantasy WRs. This is an eruption spot.

  30. Darnell Mooney

    • He's the WR9 on WR14 usage this month.

    • He was a full participant on Thursday despite coming off a hamstring injury.

  31. Jameson Williams - 49.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR23 on WR42 usage this month, seeing a higher target share than normal.

    • The Lions are projected for the most points.

  32. Marvin Harrison - 48.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR50 on WR56 usage this month.

    • The Vikings are the 2nd-worst against fantasy WRs, but some of that production are quick screens which isn't exactly Harrison's game.

  33. Khalil Shakir

    • He's the WR37 on WR18 usage this month with Keon Coleman (limited), Amari Cooper (full), and Dalton Kincaid (DNP) missing time. Shakir is a stable but often lower-upside option, best-suited in full PPR.

    • The Bills are projected for the 6th-most points.

  34. Jauan Jennings

    • The 49ers are projected for the 4th-fewest points, likely a sign Brock Purdy will miss. He had a month-low 9.4 expected half PPR points without Purdy last week.

  35. Deebo Samuel

    • He's the WR71 on WR41 usage this month.

    • The 49ers are projected for the 4th-fewest points, likely a sign Brock Purdy will miss.

  36. Jaylen Waddle - 47.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • And just like that, Waddle is the WR25 on WR44 usage this month.

    • Packers CB1 Jaire Alexander (IR) is out. It's the damn weather that's nerve racking.

  37. Michael Pittman

    • He's the WR57 on WR32 usage this month while playing through a back injury. No Josh Downs (out) helps his odds of rebounding.

  38. Xavier Worthy - 35.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Chiefs are projected for the 2nd-most points. This is an eruption spot.

    • Raiders CBs Nate Hobbs and Jakorian Bennett are both DNPs.

  39. DeAndre Hopkins - 40.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR19 on WR33 usage this month despite not being a full-time player. In fact, he was 4th in routes just last week.

    • The Chiefs are projected for the 2nd-most points. This is an eruption spot.

    • Raiders CBs Nate Hobbs and Jakorian Bennett are both DNPs.

  40. Jordan Addison - 47.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR10 on WR20 usage this month.

    • The Vikings Deep Ball Is The Best NFL Play.

  41. Jayden Reed - 46.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR41 on WR68 usage this month with the Packers suddenly being the most run-heavy team in the NFL.

    • The Packers are projected for the 7th-most points.

    • The Dolphins are the best against fantasy WRs.

  42. Elijah Moore

    • This assumes Cedric Tillman (concussion) can't play.

    • The Browns are projected for the 3rd-fewest points.

  43. Amari Cooper

    • His expected half PPR points on the Bills: 7.7, 0.9, and 4.9.

    • The Bills are projected for the 6th-most points.

    • This assumes Keon Coleman (wrist) is out.

  44. Rome Odunze - 42.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Bears are projected for the 6th-fewest points.

    • The Lions are the 6th-worst against fantasy WRs.

  45. Xavier Legette - 42.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    1. He's the WR48 on WR48 usage this month. There's more upside than that, however.

  46. Demarcus Robinson

    • The DUI arrest was dumb, but it's unlikely to effect his Week 13 status as a TD-dependent WR5. He's been the WR34 on WR38 usage this month.

  47. Christian Watson - 42.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Packers are projected for the 7th-most points.

    • The Dolphins are the best against fantasy WRs, and Watson will see some Jalen Ramsey on the outside.

  48. Dontayvion Wicks - 40.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Packers are projected for the 7th-most points.

    • The Dolphins are the best against fantasy WRs, and Watson will see some Jalen Ramsey on the outside.

  49. Marquez Valdes-Scantling

  50. Adonai Mitchell

    • Josh Downs is out, so Mitchell will see some slot work and increased snaps in general.

  51. Noah Brown - 36.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR66 on WR40 usage this month.

    • The Commanders are projected for the 10th-most points.

  52. Quentin Johnston - 40.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Chargers are projected for the 9th-most points.

  53. David Moore - 36.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He's the WR55 on WR21 usage this month. It'll depend on if Moore can hold off Adam Thielen and Jalen Coker (out).

  54. Adam Thielen - 38.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  55. Rashod Bateman - 36.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The Ravens are projected for the 3rd-most points.

  56. DeMario Douglas (Questionable) - 43.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • He was limited all week with an ankle injury, but the Patriots love to play injury report games.

  57. Wan'Dale Robinson - 32.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • The GIants are projected for the 2nd-fewest points.

  58. Alec Pierce (Questionable)

    1. He got in a full practice (foot) on Friday. Josh Downs is out.

  59. Tyler Lockett - 31.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

Week 13 QB Rankings

  1. Lamar Jackson - Ravens (27.0 team total, -3.0 spread) vs. PHI

  2. Jalen Hurts - Eagles (24.0, +3.0) at BAL

    • This assumes Devonta Smith (hamstring) is out.

  3. Jayden Daniels - Commanders (25.25, -5.5) vs. TEN

    • Titans are missing CB L'Jarius Sneed, CB Chidobe Awuzie, LB Gibbens, and S Quandre Diggs.

  4. Josh Allen - Bills (25.75, -7.0) vs. SF

    • There is snow potential on Sunday Night, but EDGE Nick Bosa is out.

    • I'd guess Keon Coleman (wrist) misses one more game with the weather and the limited practices.

  5. Patrick Mahomes - Chiefs (27.75, -13.0) vs. LV

    • Raiders are missing their top two CBs.

  6. Joe Burrow - Bengals (25.5, -3.0) vs. PIT

  7. Justin Herbert - Chargers (24.25, -1.0) at ATL

  8. Jared Goff - Lions (28.5, -9.5) vs. CHI

  9. Matthew Stafford - Rams (26.0, -2.5) at NO

    • Starting RT Rob Havenstein was a full participant after missing last game, and RT Alaric Jackson is expected to play. That means the Rams project to have their starting 5 OL for the first time all year. ALL YEAR!

  10. Baker Mayfield - Bucs (26.25, -5.5) at CAR

    • All Pro LT Tristan Wirfs (ankle) is questionable.

  11. Bo Nix - Broncos (23.5, -5.5) vs. CLE

  12. Anthony Richardson - Colts (22.5, -2.5) at NE

    • He gets his LT back, but the Colts are without a guard, both Cs, and RT Braden Smith (good player), on top of Josh Downs.

  13. Kyler Murray - Cardinals (20.75, +3.5) at MIN

  14. Sam Darnold - Vikings (24.25, -3.5) vs. ARI

  15. C.J. Stroud - Texans (23.75, -4.0) at JAX

  16. Jordan Love - Packers (25.5, -3.5) vs. MIA

  17. Caleb Williams - Lions (19.0, +9.5) at DET

  18. Drake Maye - Patriots (20.0, +2.5) vs. IND

  19. Kirk Cousins - Falcons (23.25, +1.0) vs. LAC

  20. Geno Smith - Seahawks (21.5, -2.0) at NYJ

  21. Russell Wilson - Steelers (22.5, +3.0) at CIN

  22. Tua Tagovailoa - Dolphins (22.0, +3.5) at GB

    • 8:30EST kickoff in Lambeau calls for 24 degree weather. This Dolphins offense is better-suited to survive in the cold conditions, but this is still bad news in general.

  23. Trevor Lawrence (Questionable) - Jaguars (19.75, +4.0) vs. HOU

    • The facts that he never went on IR through the bye and that he practiced on Monday are signs he'll play through a non-throwing shoulder injury. It comes down to pain management and T-Law is a tough QB, who'll likely get a pain injection before the game. I don't see this majorly effecting his play. The bigger concern is the team surrounding him; Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis are done.

  24. Derek Carr - Saints (23.5, +2.5) vs. LAR

    • Pro Bowl C Erik McCoy (questionable) didn't practice all week.

  25. Brock Purdy - 49ers (19.25, +6.0) at BUF

    • His Friday full practice is a slight reason for optimism after missing last week's game with a shoulder injury. It's not all sunshine and roses, however. Hall of Fame LT Trent Williams (ankle) is out, and the weather calls for moderate winds with snow. As we've seen before the weather can go sideways off Lake Eerie in Buffalo.

  26. Jameis Winston - Browns (18.0, +5.5) at DEN

  27. Will Levis - Titans (19.25, +5.5) at WAS

  28. Aaron Rodgers - Jets (20.5, +2.0) vs. SEA

  29. Bryce Young - Panthers (20.5, +5.5) vs. TB

    • The Bucs are missing an EDGE, slot CB, and SS.

  30. Cooper Rush - Cowboys (20.5, -3.5) vs. NYG

  31. Drew Lock - Giants (17.0, +3.5) at DAL

  32. Aidan O'Connell - Raiders (14.75, +13.0) at KC

Week 13 TE Rankings

  1. Travis Kelce - 53.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  2. Taysom Hill - 62.5 total yards in Pick'em.

    • Jamal Williams (questionable) did get in a full practice, but will they really bench Hill's production?

  3. Brock Bowers - 58.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  4. Trey McBride - 59.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • Vikings LB Ivan Pace (IR) being out helps.

  5. George Kittle

    • The snow should clear by kickoff. Moderate winds shouldn't effect Kittle's underneath production much. In fact, Buffalo's defense would rather allow completions underneath than have to defend downfield passes.

  6. Evan Engram

    • This assumes Trevor Lawrence plays.

  7. T.J. Hockenson - 44.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  8. Dallas Goedert

    • This assumes Devonta Smith is out.

  9. David Njoku

  10. Hunter Henry - 42.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  11. Cade Otton - 47.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  12. Mark Andrews - 35.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  13. Sam LaPorta - 36.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  14. Jonnu Smith - 46.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  15. Will Dissly - 39.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

    • Hayden Hurst went on IR.

  16. Kyle Pitts

  17. Zach Ertz - 35.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  18. Cole Kmet - 32.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  19. Dawson Knox

  20. Tucker Kraft - 32.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  21. Luke Schoonmaker - 30.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  22. Pat Freiermuth - 25.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  23. Isaiah Likely - 27.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  24. Mike Gesicki - 23.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  25. Dalton Schultz - 26.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

  26. Noah Fant (Questionable)

  27. Juwan Johnson - 25.5 receiving yards in Pick'em.

Week 13 Defenses For Sickos

  1. Broncos: We love Jameis in fantasy (even on defense).

  2. Chiefs: The unit isn't as good, but Spags can heat up poorly-coached and inexperienced pocket QBs. That's the Raiders.

  3. Cowboys: Micah Parsons is healthy and facing Tommy Cutlets without their star LT.

  4. Bills: One of the best coached units coming off a bye against a Monstars wounded Niners team. Trent Williams and Brock Purdy are questionable. Deebo and CMC don't look the same. Aiyuk was the only downfield speed they had at WR.

  5. Commanders: Even the good Will Levis games mix in a Pick 6.
