All mock drafts before free agency are purely for entertainment purposes and to get out some takes on the incoming prospects. But NOW, we can get serious with these mock drafts now that many team needs have been plugged up or re-opened with player movement. We covered a ton of the moves over on YouTube in case you missed them. But I refuse to play on Aaron Rodgers' time, so we're assuming he's a Steeler and Russ is a Giant in this scenario. Let's keep it moving.
Gains: LT Dan Moore, DE Dre'Mont Jones, OG Kevin Zeitler, LB Cody Barton, S Xavier Woods
Losses: EDGE Harold Landry, DT Sebastian Joseph, LB Kenneth Murray, WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, QB Mason Rudolph
Team Needs: QB, EDGE, WR, OG, SLOT, DT, LB
Other Prospect Fits: EDGE Abdul Carter, CB Travis Hunter
Notes: The assumptions are: 1) the Titans need a QB, 2) Cam Ward is the only QB worthy of a top-3 pick, 3) there's a steep drop off from Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, and 4) the only teams in play to trade up are the Browns, Giants, and Saints. If the Titans are comfortable with Cam Ward, then this is a wrap. If they aren't comfortable with him, it's likely that either the Browns or Giants are, and if that's true, then the Titans would simply add picks and trade down. Either way, it's likely Cam Ward at 1st overall. ... The Titans weren't linked to the free agent QBs all that much while allowing Mason Rudolph to leave cheaply, and you could read into the Giants being head over heels for Aaron Rodgers as evidence they don't believe a QB will be in play at the top of the draft for them. Typically QBs go 1st overall and typically they go to teams who don't have a QB in place. That's the Titans right now. Let's see if the Browns or Giants make an offer too good to turn down.
Gains: LT Cornelius Lucas, DT Maliek Collins, EDGE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, QB Kenny Pickett
Losses: DT Dalvin Tomlinson, RT James Hudson, LT Jedrick Wills, S Juan Thornhill, RB Nick Chubb, QB Jameis Winston
Team Needs: QB, LT, SLOT, RB, EDGE, WR
Prospect Fits: QB Cam Ward, CB Travis Hunter, QB Shedeur Sanders
Notes: I'm sure they want to find a young QB here, but if they can't get Cam Ward, then I don't see another one worth this high of a pick. Others may view Shedeur Sanders in this light. Good for them. To me, there are a handful of Day 2 options if they want to take a swing on a youngster to pair with Kenny Pickett (and quite possibly Kirk Cousins in the future). Instead of reaching on a low-ceiling QB, the Browns take a star edge rusher waiting to dominate the 1-on-1s afforded to him by playing opposite Myles Garrett.
Gains: CB Paulson Adebo, S Jevon Holland, EDGE Chauncey Golston, RT James Hudson
Losses: S Jason Pinnock, CB Adoree Jackson
Team Needs: QB, WR, RG, LB, CB
Prospect Fits: QB Cam Ward, QB Shedeur Sanders, OT Armand Membou
Notes: Let's assume they get Russell Wilson, or if they are lucky Aaron Rodgers, here. If so, they can stick with best player available instead of reaching on another QB who doesn't grade out as a top-3 selection. Hunter is such a great prospect at two premium positions that he's hard to pass up, especially with a few Day 2 QB options available as insurance to either veteran QB. I'd play Hunter at WR and throw him 100+ targets every year, and if he plays a few snaps on defense as a bonus, that's great. But he's an S-tier receiver prospect and they are looking for a co-star on offense.
Gains: DT Milton Williams, CB Carlton Davis, EDGE Harold Landry, LB Robert Spillane, RT Morgan Moses
Losses: C David Andrews, QB Jacoby Brissett, CB Jonathan Jones, DE Deatrich Wise
Team Needs: LT, WR, OG, C
Prospect Fits: OT Armand Membou, WR Tetairoa McMillan, DT Mason Graham
Notes: The hope is a second QB goes before this pick, and the Patriots sprint up to the podium with Carter or Hunter. If not, there isn't an obvious answer because there isn't a consensus best player available. Campbell, while much smaller than the usual NFL tackle, is in the mix and best fits the Patriots' glaring need. Left tackle. He can start there as a rookie, and if it doesn't work out, that's okay. He can be a high-level guard for the rest of Drake Maye's New England career. They need another one of those anyways.
Gains: OG Patrick Mekari, WR Dyami Brown, CB Jourdan Lewis, C Robert Hainsley, S Eric Murray, QB Nick Mullens
Losses: WR Christian Kirk, FS Andre Cisco, TE Evan Engram, TE Luke Farrell, QB Mac Jones
Team Needs: DT, WR, OG, CB, S, RB
Prospect Fits: OG Will Campbell, WR Tetairoa McMillan, RB Ashton Jeanty
Notes: Fixing the interior OL was a priority in free agency--C Robert Hainsley replaces retired Mitch Morse and OG Patrick Mekari replaces Brandon Scherff--but defensive tackle remains a relative weakness and it's a premium position worthy of a top-5 pick. Graham isn't at a blue chip level because of his below-average frame and uncertain athletic testing, but he is an agile and crafty pass rusher on tape for a team without that profile on the roster.
Gains: QB Geno Smith, S Jeremy Chinn, OG Alex Cappa
Losses: S Trevon Moehrig, CB Nate Hobbs, LB Robert Spillane, LB Divine Diablo
Team Needs: WR, LB, RB, FS, SLOT CB
Prospect Fits: RB Ashton Jeanty, OG Will Campbell, RT Armand Membou
Notes: A Geno Smith extension is coming and likely takes them out of the QB market at 6th overall. Instead, there are holes to fill everywhere. It caught my eye that The Athletic's offseason to-do list for the Raiders included finding an X receiver, but that's also not a surprise from GM John Spytek's Bucs history with Mike Evans, who is a common comparison for McMillan. That would give Smith an underneath YAC threat in Brock Bowers with a ball winner in McMillan. I see the vision.... Quickly on Ashton Jeanty. He's definitely in play here with OC Chip Kelly likely being top 10 in RB carries no matter what, but as a reminder there are two RBs commonly mocked in Round 2 that he literally coached last year. McMillan + Judkins or Jeanty + Higgins? I like the first combo.
Gains: QB Justin Fields, CB Brandon Stephens, FS Andre Cisco, C Josh Myers
Losses: QB Aaron Rodgers, WR Davante Adams, CB D.J. Reed, RT Morgan Moses, LB CJ Mosley, EDGE Haason Reddick, DT Javon Kinlaw
Team Needs: QB, RT, WR, CB, SS, SLOT CB, TE, EDGE
Prospect Fits: TE Tyler Warren, EDGE Jalon Walker, EDGE Shemar Stewart
Notes: Justin Fields' pressure numbers remain worst in the league, and new HC Aaron Glenn is used to having an elite OL from his days in Detroit. Membou isn't Penei Sewell, but the bull case is there. With RT Morgan Moses gone, the lone spot on the OL up for grabs is the position Membou dominated at against big-time SEC competition.
Gains: S Trevon Moehrig, DT Tershawn Wharton, EDGE Patrick Jones, DT Bobby Brown, RB Rico Dowdle
Losses: S Xavier Woods
Team Needs: CB, EDGE, LB, WR, DT
Prospect Fits: EDGE Shemar Stewart, LB Jihaad Campbell, WR Tetairoa McMillan
Notes: Carolina plugged some holes on the defensive line with fringe starters, but they do not have a premiere edge rusher on the roster. There are plenty to choose from at 8th overall; Shemar Stewart won Combine, James Pearce won the pressure rate contest, and Jalon Walker arguably has the best combination of the two. He can also play some off-ball linebacker, which is a position of need as well.
Gains: S Justin Reid
Losses: CB Paulson Adebo, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, RB Jamaal Williams
Team Needs: QB, CB, OG, EDGE, WR, LB
Prospect Fits: QB Shedeur Sanders, OG Will Campbell, EDGE Jalon Walker
Notes: New Orleans is a Shedeur Sanders team to me, but there's a chance he slides out of the top 10 overall like I have here. Instead, the Saints have a major need at CB after trading Marshon Lattimore and letting Paulson Adebo walk in free agency. New DC Brandon Staley plays a ton of two-high zone defense, which plays to Johnson's strengths of having instincts and length and also hides his long-speed weakness. He's a great scheme fit.
Gains: EDGE Dayo Odeyingbo, OG Joe Thuney, C Drew Dalman, OG Jonah Jackson, DT Grady Jarrett
Losses: OG Teven Jenkins, EDGE DeMarcus Walker, WR Keenan Allen
Team Needs: RB, LT, WR, OG, S, LB
Prospect Fits: OT Will Campbell, OT Kelvin Banks, WR Tetairoa McMillan
Notes: The first moves of the offseason are fixing the G-C-G combination, and the Bears theoretically have two OTs in place if LT Braxton Jones can come back from injury. The teams that can get away with drafting a RB early are teams that can create run ways that allow the RB's traits to shine with room to maneuver. All of a sudden, that's the Bears. Jeanty is special with his contact balance like a souped-up David Montgomery (complementary). Nobody will be surprised if Ben Johnson falls in love... Last note, the Bears quietly don't have many team needs. It's a good roster after the offseason moves.
Gains: TE Luke Farrell, QB Mac Jones, WR Demarcus Robinson
Losses: CB Charvarius Ward, WR Deebo Samuel, OG Aaron Banks, S Talanoa Hufanga, DT Javon Hargrave, DT Maliek Collins, EDGE Leonard Floyd, FB Kyle Juszczyk, LT Jaylon Moore, LB Dre Greenlaw
Team Needs: DT, CB, OG, LB, SS, RT, C
Prospect Fits: DT Kenneth Grant, EDGE Shemar Stewart, OG Tyler Booker
Notes: A cash-savings free agency was warranted after going all in for years and while preparing for a hefty Brock Purdy contract. Protecting Purdy will be a priority, and it'll be difficult to find a LT in the draft if the 49ers rebound next year and no long pick this high in the draft. Getting ahead of the eventual Trent Williams retirement is smart business. Banks played left tackle at Texas but has the movement skills to play guard in this complex Shanahan scheme in the interim with LG Aaron Banks gone.
Gains: EDGE Payton Turner, LB Kenneth Murray, CB Kaiir Elam, RB Javonte Williams
Losses: SLOT CB Jourdan Lewis, EDGE Demarcus Lawrence, WR Brandin Cooks, EDGE Chauncey Golston, RB Rico Dowdle, LB Eric Kendricks
Team Needs: EDGE, WR, OG, CB, SLOT CB, RB, LB
Prospect Fits: WR Tetairoa McMillan, RB Ashton Jeanty, LB Jihaad Campbell
Notes: We'll see if this happens, but Daniel Jeremiah hinted that the Ohio State all-time leader in receptions could run in the 4.3s at his pro day. If true, he's going high. He's so polished, versatile, and hard-nosed. The Cowboys are desperate for reliable options behind CeeDee Lamb, and Egbuka brings a high floor and reasonable ceiling in a draft loaded with questions.
Gains: OG James Daniels, QB Zach Wilson, WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, S Ashtyn Davis
Losses: S Jevon Holland, OG Robert Jones, DT Calais Campbell
Team Needs: OG, DT, S, CB, C, LB
Prospect Fits: S Nick Emmanawori, DT Kenneth Grant, LB Jihaad Campbell
Notes: There aren't many interior OL options in Round 1, especially with Tyler Booker failing the athletic testing required to play in this fast-paced offense. Meanwhile, there are holes on the defensive interior and in the back seven, and there are tons of options in this range. Harmon checks all production, size, and testing boxes and would get them in a better spot as they replace DT Christian Wilkins' pass-rushing chops from two seasons ago. DC Anthony Weaver comes from Baltimore where finding this profile was imperative to their success.
Gains: CB Charvarius Ward, S Cam Bynum, QB Daniel Jones
Losses: EDGE Dayo Odeyingbo, OG Will Fries, C Ryan Kelly
Team Needs: OG, TE, CB, DT, LB, EDGE
Prospect Fits: S Nick Emmanawori, TE Colston Loveland, LB Jihaad Campbell
Notes: The Colts have a center replacement in house, but they are out a guard with Will Fries and backup Mark Glowinski gone. I just don't see one available in this range. Indianapolis could also upgrade their TE room, and many believe Tyler Warren would be a best player available pick here.
Gains: EDGE Leonard Floyd, LB Divine Diablo
Losses: DT Grady Jarrett, C Drew Dalman, EDGE Matt Judon, S Richie Grant, S Justin Simmons
Team Needs: EDGE, DT, CB, C, S, LB
Prospect Fits: DT Kenneth Grant, EDGE Mykel Williams, DT Derrick Harmon
Notes: This has to be a defensive linemen, and there are a million to choose from in this range. Stewart's size stands out versus this lighter edge class.
Gains: EDGE Josh Sweat, DT Dalvin Tomlinson, LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, QB Jacoby Brissett
Losses:
Team Needs: DT, OG, SLOT WR, EDGE, LB
Prospect Fits: DT Derrick Harmon, EDGE Mykel Williams, CB Will Johnson
Notes: Arizona's leadership comes from the Eagles, who have made defensive line a major priority. The Cardinals just stole Philly EDGE Josh Sweat but they were unable to close the gap on DT Milton Williams in free agency. Grant doesn't play the exact same position as Williams, but he can be a major upgrade at nose tackle while getting some reps at three tech if his freaky athleticism translates. This is a defensive scheme that could use Grant's physical dominance.
Gains: DT Tedarrell Slaton
Losses: OG Alex Cappa, DT Shelton Rankins, LB Akeem Davis-Gaither
Team Needs: DT, EDGE, SLOT CB, LB, S, RB
Prospect Fits: DT Derrick Harmon, EDGE James Pearce, CB Jahdae Barron
Notes: Cincy had issues in the secondary and could have a big void if nickel Mike Hilton isn't retained (and he's 31 years old anyways). Emmanawori is the spark this unit needs, and he's versatile enough to be used multiple ways thanks to his rare athleticism.
Gains: QB Sam Darnold, EDGE Demarcus Lawrence, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
Losses: QB Geno Smith, WR DK Metcalf, WR Tyler Lockett
Team Needs: OG, WR, TE, C, CB
Prospect Fits: WR Matthew Golden, OG Tyler Booker, OT Kelvin Banks
Notes: New OC Klint Kubiak is expected to utilized more 2-TE sets than other coordinators, and Loveland can be a real weapon even in 3-WR sets. In the slot. Even at real wide receiver. Loveland is a monster in terms of size and will eventually develop into a nice blocker for this balanced team. If the Seahawks are run committed, it could make sense to prioritize a tight end over a receiver.
Gains: EDGE Haason Reddick
Losses: C Robert Hainsey, EDGE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka
Team Needs: LB, EDGE
Prospect Fits: EDGE Mykel Williams, EDGE Mike Green, EDGE James Pearce
Notes: Tampa Bay legendary LB Lavonte David signed a 1-year deal, but this torch must get passed and there is a need at the second starting spot. Campbell is a stylistic fit with blitz-heavy Todd Bowles. Before Campbell moved to off-ball, he was the No. 1 edge rushing recruit out of high school. He's a play-maker, blitzer, spyer, and a whole lot more. That's what the Bucs are on the look for.
Gains: TE Evan Engram, S Talanoa Hufanga, LB Dre Greenlaw
Losses: LB Cody Barton, RB Javonte Williams
Team Needs: RB, TE, EDGE, DT, WR
Prospect Fits: TE Colston Loveland, DT Kenneth Grant, RB Omarian Hampton
Notes: I don't remember a team being so RB focused in an offseason since maybe the Steelers with Najee, but I do trust Sean Payton in getting the most of the selection, especially with the OL in tact. That said, taking one at 20th overall is pretty rich. A slight trade down opens them up to multiple options at a more palpable price point, and they do have some trade up leverage with the QB-needy Steelers at 21st overall if Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart are in demand. That's what happens here.
Compensation: 20th overall for 34th and 65th overall.
Notes: This is a mostly a bit, but could you imagine Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders on the same team? Well, yes. That's the point of this! If the Giants only have Russell Wilson on a one-year deal, then they have to get aggressive in the draft. A sliding Sanders would be music to their ears.
Gains: WR DK Metcalf, CB Darius Slay, LB Malik Harrison, QB Mason Rudolph, RB Kenneth Gainwell
Losses: LT Dan Moore, QB Justin Fields, OG James Daniels, CB Donte Jackson, RB Najee Harris
Team Needs: QB, CB, SLOT CB, OG, RB, WR
Prospect Fits: QB Shedeur Sanders, CB Jahdae Barron, WR Matthew Golden
Notes: There was a lot of blown coverage fighting in this secondary and not a lot of leadership. Barron is an experienced, disciplined, and versatile piece capable of playing in the slot or on the outside next to Joey Porter. He's a willing tackler and surprised at the Combine with legit 4.4 speed. He seems like a Tomlin guy, and they definitely had issues covering the middle of the field last year.
Gains: CB Donte Jackson, RB Najee Harris, WR Mike Williams
Losses: EDGE Joey Bosa, WR Josh Palmer, CB Kristian Fulton, DT Poona Ford, RB J.K. Dobbins
Team Needs: EDGE, WR, CB, DT, TE, C, OG
Prospect Fits: DT Kenneth Grant, TE Colston Loveland, WR Matthew Golden
Notes: Releasing Joey Bosa and re-signing Khalil Mack to a 1-year deal makes finding a long-term edge rusher a major priority. Ironically, Williams and Bosa have very similar size and athleticism. Williams wasn't the producer or nuanced pass rusher than Bosa was coming out, so he's likely to fall outside the top 15. His physicality makes him a Harbaugh guy to me.
Gains: OG Aaron Banks, CB Nate Hobbs
Losses: CB Jaire Alexander, C Josh Myers, DT Tedarrell Slaton
Team Needs: WR, EDGE, CB, DT
Prospect Fits: CB Jahdae Barron, EDGE Mykel Williams, EDGE James Pearce
Notes: They filled two obvious needs in the draft, yet still leaves them wanting more at receiver and edge. They've sunk far more capital into the defensive line, making me think receiver help is on the way. Matthew Golden has versatility but would play the downfield outside role that Christian Watson's ACL tear leaves behind. He's a crafty route runner and an ascending player.
Gains: OG Will Fries, DT Jonathan Allen, C Ryan Kelly, CB Isaiah Rodgers
Losses: QB Sam Darnold, S Cam Bynum, QB Daniel Jones, OT Cam Robinson, CB Shaq Griffin, CB Stephon Gilmore, EDGE Patrick Jones, OG Dalton Risner, C Garrett Bradbury
Team Needs: CB, S, OG
Prospect Fits: OG Donovan Jackson, S Malaki Starks, CB Maxwell Hairston
Notes: The Vikings only have 4 picks this entire draft with their second pick not coming until 97th overall. They are an obvious trade down team, especially if the QBs are available and teams are feeling desperate.
Compensation: 24th overall for 33rd and 67th overall.
Notes: The Browns may want Cam Ward or Kirk Cousins, but they don't get to choose if they are available. If the Falcons want to play the "you have to trade for him" game, then screw that. Getting a younger QB on a cheap contract to get them through the Deshaun Watson cap hits is the only reasonable path out. This analytics-based front office is probably more likely to spin Dart's up-and-down profile in a positive light, and they likely don't want to risk another QB needy team (NO, NYJ, etc.) jumping in front of them in the early 2nd round. To me, getting a blue chip talent at 2nd and rolling the dice on a QB here is a better combination than taking Sanders at 2nd overall and going best player available at 33rd overall.
Gains: WR Christian Kirk, S Chauncey Garner-Johnson, DT Shelton Rankins, OG Laken Tomlinson
Losses: LT Laremy Tunsil, WR Stefon Diggs, OG Shaq Mason, OG Kenyon Green, S Eric Murray
Team Needs: LT, C, WR
Prospect Fits: OT Kelvin Banks, OG/T Donovan Jackson, WR Matthew Golden
Notes: It's clear DeMeco Ryans had culture and talent issues with the offensive line. That's how two OL trades happen in back-to-back days. Reports indicate Tytus Howard and Blake Fischer are the solutions at the tackle spots this year--at least for now--while the interior will continue to get moved around. Enter Zabel, who can play any position. Most, including myself, see him as a center with great movement skills. He was a fierce competitor at the senior bowl and has created Round 1 hype out of North Dakota State. Hopefully he can sort out stunts and blitzes unlike the 2024 Texans.
Gains: WR Davante Adams, DT Poona Ford, C Coleman Shelton
Losses: WR Cooper Kupp, OG Jonah Jackson, WR Demarcus Robinson, LB Michael Hoecht, DT Bobby Brown
Team Needs: OG, LB, CB, SLOT CB, EDGE
Prospect Fits: LB Jihaad Campbell, OG Donovan Jackson, CB Maxwell Hairston
Notes: The Alabama product is not for everyone. In fact, he's not for most in this wide zone world. He's simply too slow for many offenses. That's not the case for the duo-based Rams who beefed up the trenches last offseason but shed weight in the trade markets this offseason.
Gains: WR DeAndre Hopkins
Losses: OG Patrick Mekari, CB Brandon Stephens, LB Malik Harrison
Team Needs: CB, OG, S
Prospect Fits: OG Tyler Booker, OG Donovan Jackson, CB Maxwell Hairston
Notes: This would be a best player available selection as many see Nolen as a top-25 talent. There are some character concerns that teams will have to sort out, but Nolen is athletic and plays a premium position. He'd slide next to Nnamdi Madubuike on the interior and bring in some needed pass-rush juice as OLB Kyle Van Noy ages out.
Gains: CB D.J. Reed
Losses: CB Carlton Davis, EDGE Za'Darius Smith, OG Kevin Zeitler
Team Needs: OG, WR, DT, EDGE
Prospect Fits: OG Tyler Booker, DT Walter Nolen, EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku
Notes: Built up front, the Lions are in-need of some new additions after moving on from Kevin Zeitler and Jonah Jackson in back-to-back offseasons. Jackson is a competitor built for Dan Campbell's culture after stepping up at LT in a pinch for the Natty Champion Buckeyes. He'd be a day one starter.
Gains: LT Trent Williams, WR Deebo Samuel, DT Javon Kinlaw, CB Jonathan Jones
Losses: DT Jonathan Allen, WR Dyami Brown, S Jeremy Chinn, LT Cornelius Lucas, EDGE Clelin Ferrell, EDGE Dante Fowler, WR Olamide Zaccheaus
Team Needs: EDGE, OG, S, WR, CB, SLOT CB, LB
Prospect Fits: EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku, WR Matthew Golden, S Malaki Starks
Notes: Washington's edge group is tough. They're due for a major reset after finding low-end veterans in last year's rebuild year. Now is the time to search for upside. Green's athleticism and production are that of a top-16 selection, but he also has multiple allegations of sexual assault that put his draft stock in flux. I'm uncertain where he'll go in the draft.
Gains: WR Josh Palmer, EDGE Joey Bosa, DT Larry Ogunjobi, LB Michael Hoecht
Losses: WR Amari Cooper, EDGE Von Miller, CB Rasul Douglas, WR Mack Hollins
Team Needs: CB, OG, S, EDGE, DT, WR
Prospect Fits: S Malaki Starks, EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku, OG Donovan Jackson
Notes: The Bills traded away former 1st-round CB Kaiir Elam and have Rasul Douglas as a free agent. This secondary wasn't up to the standard of it's recent past. Hairston ran 4.28 at the combine but was at his best in zone coverage where he can haul ass back to the ball. With how much zone the Bills play, Hairston seems like a scheme fit.
Gains: LT Jaylon Moore, CB Kristian Fulton, RB Elijah Mitchell
Losses: OG Joe Thuney, DT Tershawn Wharton, S Justin Reid, WR DeAndre Hopkins, EDGE Charles Omenihu
Team Needs: EDGE, LT, OG, DT, S
Prospect Fits: DT Walter Nolen, OT Josh Simmons, EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku
Notes: His production, athleticism, and early-declare SEC pedigree would typically make him a top-16 lock, but Pearce has some character concerns. The latest example was forgetting his Combine shirt at the hotel, forcing him to run the damn forty in a hoodie. The fact Pearce did so in 4.48 seconds shows why someone will take a chance on him. The Chiefs are known for just that, and they happen to be looking for a counter to George Karlaftis.
Gains: CB Adoree Jackson, OG Kenyon Green
Losses: DT Milton Williams, EDGE Josh Sweat, CB Darius Slay, S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, OG Mekhi Becton, CB James Bradberry
Team Needs: DT, S, CB, EDGE, WR, OG, TE, OT
Prospect Fits: OG Donovan Jackson, EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku, S Malaki Starks
Notes: Who knows where Simmons will actually be drafted coming off a torn patella, but if he does slide, the Eagles are a perfect landing spot for a few reasons. Most importantly, he doesn't have to play in 2025. He can continue his rehab without the pressure of returning before he's physically ready. Furthermore, Simmons was a career right tackle before he transferred to Ohio State. This would be the bridge to the post Lane Johnson world. We saw the Eagles come in a year early to replace C Jason Kelce.
