No. 4 Cincinnati Bengals @ No. 4 Los Angeles Rams

We've now reached the final week of the 2021/2022 NFL season. The Super Bowl is being played on Feb. 13th and features two fourth seeds in the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams. Los Angeles has a slight advantage with the Super Bowl being played in their home stadium, simplifying their training and transportation schedule. But, the game still needs to be played and as it stands, the Rams are currently betting favorites.

Cincinnati rides into this game after three consecutive playoff victories over the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals finished the regular season with a 10-7 record, basically tossing in the towel on Week 18 with their starters benched.

Cincinnati is a young and exciting team living and dying on the shoulders of second-year quarterback Joe Burrow. The young signal caller has established himself as a top-five quarterback in his first season post-ACL injury. The offensive line is severely overmatched in this contest, but Burrow has shown the ability to overcome their performance for the majority of this season and against the Titans — he was sacked nine times in that Divisional Round contest and still made enough plays to win.

As we know, the Bengals have arguably the best trio of receivers in the sport in rookie Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. It appears starting tight end C.J. Uzomah should be able to suit up in this game, too, though his status will be monitored.

The Rams, on the other hand, were one of the odds-on favorites to win the Super Bowl in the offseason. They've made due so far by knocking off the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Francisco 49ers throughout the playoffs. Los Angeles ended the season with a 12-5 record and had the pleasure of hosting both the NFC Championship Game and now the Super Bowl.

Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the charge in his first season with the franchise. He had a league-leading 17 interceptions, but the interceptions per pass attempt figures between Stafford and Burrow are nearly identical.

The Rams have a strong passing game — like the Bengals — which is led by Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. Kupp has basically been unstoppable this season, topping 90-plus receiving yards in 18 of 20 games and setting records in both receptions and receiving yards in a single season (including regular and postseason).

Defensively, the Rams boast one of the best defensive lines in football and that could prove to be the difference in this contest. The line of scrimmage is typically where NFL games are won and lost — we'll see how this game unfolds.
